Health Checks + Ofgem Readiness Phases

Purpose: confirm where you stand, define what’s required, and get you licensing-ready.

Our Heat Network Health Checks are the compliance entry point. They give you:

A clear baseline of your current regulatory position
Confirmation of accountability and licensing scope
An evidence-led gap analysis
A practical plan to close those gaps

This is delivered through three phases:

Phase 1: establish baseline regulatory and operational position
Phase 2: map Ofgem requirements and define gaps, responsibilities and priorities
Phase 3: implement governance, documentation, systems and evidence controls to achieve readiness

In short: the Health Check is how we diagnose and structure compliance — not a standalone “inspection.”

Pillar 2: Optimisation

Funding Support + Technical Improvement Planning

Purpose: reduce waste, stabilise bills and create a costed plan for upgrades.

Once you understand your baseline, optimisation addresses performance issues that drive resident dissatisfaction and cost.

Through HNES, revenue studies can be up to 100% funded, with capital funding typically contributing up to 50% for eligible upgrades.

We coordinate specialist technical partners to deliver the study, and we translate the findings into practical, fundable next steps.

Pillar 3: Monitoring

Ongoing Visibility + Quarterly Performance Reviews

Purpose: keep performance stable, catch issues early and maintain evidence over time.

Monitoring is how you prevent drift after improvements.

Pinpoint (powered by Guru Systems and delivered through Data Energy) provides real-time dashboards, alerts and reporting. Quarterly reviews convert insight into actions, and actions into tracked improvement.

This is also where compliance becomes sustainable: evidence is created continuously, not rebuilt later under pressure.

Practical learning for Property Managers and Teams

Purpose: reduce risk by improving day-to-day decisions.

Tier 1 builds foundational understanding of heat networks and responsibilities.

Tier 2 goes deeper into metering, billing and compliance in practice - with scenario-based learning and take-home tools.
